Thought this topic might have come up earlier, but I don't see it?
It might be possible that I purposely traded in one unread copy of Not Wanted on the Voyage for the sake of securing this (more expensive) copy instead, solely so that I could have this cover stare into my soul.

Nice idea. That is not a book I know but I would definitely take a look if I saw that cover :)
I couldn't resist this face when I saw the book in a shop
and this one was a present from a family member shortly after I got my first cat and combines my love of cats and ancient history

Here is a lovely Paul Gallico book cover:
and here is one of the original Doreen Tovey cat books' covers:
Doreen Tovey is the reason I started keeping Siamese.

This is a good one.

my favorite:
It's like The Hobbit but the hero is handsome :)

Such wonderful covers! Of course they are working with the most beautiful animals so it's hard to get them wrong....

Book of Night with Moon by Diane Duane (which is also a great book about cat guardians, let's say)

OMG, i'm sorry it's so big! i'm new and I haven't done HTML since LiveJournal.

>4 Zambaco: I just went back and realized I had read Cats in the Belfry Hilarious! I should read more of her I will try to get my covers here soon.

It is, isn't it? I am now on my fourth Siamese and Doreen Tovey is right - for sheer bad behaviour they are hard to beat.
25Zambaco
Have just ordered a second-hand copy of Blitzcat and am looking forward to reading it Thank you for reminding me about Robert Westall, a brilliant writer of supernatural fiction who was also a great cat lover.
26galadriel007
it's really fun, and it's stuck with me over the years.

>5 Jarandel:, the one that got my attention is Divine Endurance, at first for the cover and then for the oddness. I've not read Gwyneth Jones yet.
28Zambaco
Divine Endurance is good, but not as cat-centric as the cover promises.
29galadriel007
also, Mary Stewart's Touch Not The Cat
doesn't really have much to do with cats, but i read it for th etitle alone

Just perused back through the covers posted so far. A good number of them are black cats. Did everyone know yesterday (Aug 17) was black cat appreciation day? :-)
37Zambaco
High time they had a bit of appreciation! And here's another black cat on the original Blitzcat cover:

I saw this on reddit (r/cats). Yes it's a real book. (I know this doesn't exactly count, but close enough, right?)

>47 neverstopreading: If it's a real book, and you've read all the meows, you can count it!

I love that cover on Thomasina. That was the edition in my house growing up. Thanks!

>5 Jarandel: The cat that ate the Furniture? Oh dear. I'm thinking that doesn't end well for anyone!!! And I'm trying to figure out which of Braun's titles was translated that way... Must be some idiom I don't know.
