Princess Gwenevere and the Jewel Riders Vol. 1 (1)… by Jordie Bellaire
A promising beginning of a new story... but if you don't know the series things might be confusing. The art also feels rushed, or maybe a bit too loose for my liking. Art on the back is not the same as art in the book.
Solid start, still not sure how I feel about the reboot but good to have the characters back. Hopefully Xander is less of a misogynist this time around.
An alternative time line and alternative canon cross over event that has just the right amount of snark, drama, and butt kicking that Buffy is known for!
As the Hellmouth threatens Sunnydale to the brink of extinction, Buffy Summers must join forces with the vampire Angel to save the city, as long as they do not kill each other first.
Not part of the Buffyverse but still tons of fun, fans of the franchise should check this one out!

Redlands is a horror comic about a redneck place in Florida (Redlands) being run by three witches who are there to get vengeance on anyone in the town who is racist, sexist, etc. Right away they murderer a bunch of racist cops and decide to take over the town of Redland (issue #1). The story then moves to political thriller, mystery, and crazy witchy magic. The story is often intriguing, strange, disturbing, confusing, and insane.
The concept is interesting but the execution is flawed. Nevertheless, there was enough intrigue for me to enjoy this volume and for me to pick up the next one.… (more)
