Good idea and good art, but the writing felt pretty weak. It didn’t have enough character development and ended really abruptly. ( )

The theme of this book would be for people to always know they are good at something in life. The summary of this book includes two characters Jenna and Lucas going off to Camp Fielding. This is a camp for kids that are “misfits” and need to find something they are good at. Typically, this is more for the parents so they can have a reason to brag about their child. Over time, Jenna and Lucas hear creepy things in the woods, notice odd behavior among their peers, and stumble upon a building the counselors seem to be hiding. They find out what is really going on in the camp and you will have to read to see if they save the camp and the students. I personally did not enjoy this book. I found the story to be very unrealistic (I like realistic novels.), and cheesy. However, I think teens who would like graphic novels will enjoy this book.Curricular connections would include anything in science as it plays a role later in the story. ( )

I loved this graphic novel of two teens at a creepy summer camp. It becomes apparent right away that things are not right at Camp Fielding. It’s up to Jenna and Lucas to find a way to save everyone. There are a few unanswered questions and I can see room for a sequel. This was a fun quick read 😄 ( )

This was a really interesting story. I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did. ( )
