    Ah-Choo by Mercer Mayer (buddingnaturalist)
buddingnaturalist: Both are humorous books about elephants sneezing with hilarious illustrations. Mercer Mayer's is practically wordless (a picture is worth a thousand words!), while Patricia Thomas's has rhyming text.

All the animals are in a panic. The elephant's sneeze would blow the monkeys out of the trees, the feathers off the birds, the stripes off the zebra! Even the fish and the fly, the crocodile and the kangaroo know what a catastrophe that sneeze would be. "Please don't sneeze!" they beg....

Another super cute children’s poem book written and published in 1971. This book reads very much like a Dr. Suess book, which I absolutely love. It’s the only kind of poems I even understand. It was in with my cousin’s (Lancer Woolwine) family photos, which I am currently organizing for their family. This book, missing its cover, stays with the family. ( )

This is a fantasy book about a community of animals. When the elephant announces his coming sneeze, the other animals lose their respect for him. Then a small hero seemingly saves them all. I would use this book when talking about diversity, and learning to accept one another for who they are. A person who might seem like they can't do a lot can actually accomplish a lot in the big scheme of things! ( )
