This book is about a Hollywood star trying to get back to the normal life; the fame is just too much for this fifteen year old tennis prodigy. There is comedy, romance, and action in this book which could easily be turned into a chick flick rival to Sweet Home Alabama. ( )

This book was dumd. The premise was stupid and I didn't like the style of the writing. I mean a tennis star that goes into hiding? Gets a ruby nose ring? Please. I didn't find anything about it believable and just stopped 50 or so pages in and knew I didn't ever want to pick it up again. ( )

In Amazing Grace, we meet a tennis sensation named Grace. She is only fifteen but already on top of the world with her tennis game and the endorsements that have come along with it. When she decides she wants to give up tennis to experience the life of a normal fifteen year old girl, she takes off for Alaska to live with her mom's friend. In Alaska she meets great friends that help Grace discover and love who she is. I really enjoyed reading this book. It is written from Grace's perspective and her honesty had me laughing. Her true thoughts helped me really get into the book. I would recommend this for adolescent teen girls. It's an just an easy and enjoyable read. ( )

I liked that she admitted that she was getting tired of tennis, and that she needed a break. I also liked how she fell in love with the boy from the island. AHS/KW

Grace "Ace" Kincaid has it all- tennis superstar status, fame, model good-looks, a cosmetics line- until she utters the three words to end it all. Overnight she is whisked off to Medicine Hat, Alaska, population 813. With the help of her ex-FBI guardian, a wise therapist, kooky new friend, and a super-cute boy, Grace learns who she is....and who she wants to be.

This book was very good and sweet! Fun, simple read. The style was great- a cross between a diary and a conversation with a friend. Fun, quirky characters. All around enjoyable read. ( )
