The first installment in this series was so interesting, I couldn't wait to dive into book two. This time Dani is standing in the hero's shoes, and Noah is along for the ride. But now, the stakes are higher - while traveling through the journals, they've accidentally messed up history in the real world, and their best bet of setting everything right is to return to what they changed before a darker force catches up. Jarvis wasted no time drawing you into the story, and it's easy to slip back into this town with a tucked away magical bookshop. The descriptions are vivid, and the dual timelines make everything more interesting. The story moves along at a smooth pace, keeping you engaged cover to cover. The characters are believable, even the mysterious and magical bookshop owner. Kids who like magic and adventure will definitely enjoy this series! ( ) no reviews | add a review
