I had a few mixed feelings about this story for a few reasons. In many ways I liked this story for its fun illustrations and vivid characters. I also enjoyed how the plot developed and the setting changed as the story did. I also appreciated how the story often repeated itself, making this a good story to read to young children. Young children would also enjoy the vivid colors and unique illustrations. Some things that I did not like about this story was the overall plot. I did not like how the girl kept creating creative scenarios to write about, and her teacher kept telling her they weren’t good or realistic. I felt as though that would discourage young children. I also did not like how the little girl in the story felt as though she had to hide her creations from her teacher, so she would not get in trouble. Regardless of how I felt about the plot, I still enjoyed this story and could see myself reading it to younger students. The overall message of this story is creativity, making it a fun story to read to young children. ( )
