"An hour earlier, millions of people across the globe who had the Death Warrant app on their optic heard the unmistakable notification ping signifying someoneā€™s ticket was soon to be punched. Upon that ping, civilization ground to a halt, and all eyes were glued to screens. The slickly produced opening title sequence reminded viewers that they were now watching the most popular television show in history."

In a future not too far from present day, the most popular tv show is one where the audience watches an unsuspecting person die. Now this person actually applied and agreed to be murdered on tv. Why? Because their families will get a fantastic payout, enough to get families out of debt or help someone you care about start over.

This was a quick read for me. I enjoyed it and if you're into realistic dystopias you will too.
