A couple weeks ago I finished reading one of the 'The Best of Science Fiction' anthologies and was quite disappointed because all of the stories were literary fiction dressed up with a few sci-fi details.
This collection includes the kind of tales that drew me to sci-fi in the first place, with the exception of the literary piece, 'Daughter' by Anne McCaffrey.
Quite the enjoyable read for anyone who appreciates true sci-fi. (
