African version of the traditional folktale Stone Soup, Noko the porcupine tricks the other well fed but selfish animals into sharing their food with him and the whole village. This book is good for 2-3rd grade students, it is a classic picture book feel with medium sized text. This book shows very interesting cultural illustrations from African folklore. This story is a good representation of the culture and teaches a lot about their tales. It uses animals to show a heartwarming story with lots of culture represented. In a classroom this would be great to broaden the range of culture in the classroom. And also allow students to either learn or relate to the story. no reviews | add a review
