Animal Farm has always been one of my favorite books, and I enjoyed it even more after having read the graphic novel version of the book. While the story remains the same, the detail within the art accompanying the story really brings the animals, and their struggles to life. I think this graphic novel is so important to teach in schools; the story is easy to follow because of the amazing artwork, and the important messages surrounding the idea of power, social classes and status, dictatorship, and propaganda, are all things that students should learn about and understand. This story will never become outdate because the themes are ones that many can relate to, especially in the climate of our world today. The story/message is still relevant, only now, it's even more enjoyable thanks to the fact that it's been turned into a graphic novel. ( ) no reviews | add a review
