The familiar characters of Claudette and her dog Valiant, Gaston, Marie are back in the third installment of this full color graphic novel series. This time Claudette does not fight giants or dragons. She wants to be part of the Warrior games and kick some monster butt. The Marquis has build a giant coliseum to host the games in Claudette’s town welcoming everyone from the kingdom. The team she has to watch out for is the Sea Kingdom. They are up to no good and would like to set free The Wizard Grombach but to Claudette’s disgust, the games are changed into a chores instead of fighting monsters. Gaston and Marie are her saviers this time. Humorous, full of imaginary situations and adventure. A great addition to a graphic novel collection because of its strong female character
Can be read without the two previous volumes.

This was the final book in the Chronicles of Claudette series. This was a wonderful conclusion to this series. I love how fun this series is and really enjoyed it a lot.

The illustration is very cartoony, bright, and colorful. It fits the tone of the story nicely and is easy to follow.

This book didn’t have quite as much action as the previous books, but was still very engaging. The ending was fantastic and makes this a super feel good and happy series!

Overall this is an awesome middle grade graphic novel series that I think both kids and adults will enjoy. It’s very humorous and engaging, with great characters. The ending to the series was very well done. I will definitely be keeping my eye out for more graphic novels by this duo. ( )
