"The World's Most Travelled Man is an eye-opening account of the universal human experience as seen from each corner of the changing world. Blending a romantic connection to nature through solitude and the social examination of culture, Bown fully immerses himself in each experience, however diverse, dangerous or dirty, veering way, way off the backpacker circuit to see the world through an unparalleled perspective. The World's Most Travelled Man is a journey of global proportions shared with the humility of a man who simply wants to satisfy his own curiosity and live life to the fullest."--… (more)

This was a really inspiring read about travel and gives an account of the author's highlights of his lifetime of travel. The author did an amazing job in giving just enough info about his adventures, and gave you a good sense of what his experience was. Rather than hit the airport for a location and see a site or two and cross it off the list, the author really got down and dirty in the countries, talking to the locals, hitch-hiking the backroads, bringing all his possessions into a trusty backpack that's been searched, stolen, lost and was falling apart by the end, to show the wear and tear that he also experienced on his journey. If you are considering any travel in this post covid world, this is a good start to give you an idea of what sounds interesting, and what you would want to avoid at all costs! My question to the author is, what's next? does the world feel smaller now? now that you have seen everywhere on this earth, are you heading to places you really enjoyed? or see some of the places you may not have seen all the regions? also how did you handle the covid travel restrictions?
