A great collection of interviews from The Paris Review. Goes beyond what you find in mainstream publications, and into the heart of writing, writers' lives and what they think. ( )

The Paris Review chose first-rate writers, and asked them intelligent questions about their own writing practices. The interviews did not rely solely on the conversations, but allowed the writer to look at the transcript of the initial interview and rewrite. What the reader has, in addition to an interview, is a polished literary document. ( )
