Geisel Honor 2017 - not suitable for a readaloud with wiggly toddlers, but this early chapter-style book for beginning readers deserves the honor for providing an engaging and encouraging story for kids who are at that reading level. (

Our kids like the Ratsos books. This is the second one we've read and it was fun like the first. Now, instead of saying "rats" when something goes wrong, they say "Ratsos"! (
