He had me with the use of "subfusc", in an adventure story in which howler monkeys are involved.

Standard, workmanlike adventure story from this genre author, who sold well in his day. The story concerns Inca gold with the usual skullduggery and some romance thrown in. Still readable, though you really notice the level of technology that was exciting in 1975. ( )
