Love on the Rocks is a sweet romance between a famous rock star, Sean, and park ranger, Dani (aka "Baby"). If you've read "Lost on the Road to Love" by the same already, this is the story about Henry's parents.

Sean and Dani meet by chance at a diner - Dani needs a ride, and the rock stars enjoy her company enough to invite her onto their tour bus. From there, we follow the group as they tour from city to city performing concerts. What starts as just a friendship gradually builds up to something more. There are definitely some ups and downs along the way to keep things interesting: Dani has trouble adjusting to the fame and the constant competition. She also has a habit of running away from her problems, which can complicate things. Sean can be very overprotective, but I like that Dani is able to stand up to him about that.

Overall I enjoyed all the of the main characters in the story, and they felt genuine to me. I especially liked that Dani was such a strong female character. I found the book to be a quick read and hard to put down! The story takes place over the course of a couple months, and time flows seamlessly through the story. It is written in first person from Dani's point of view. I'm excited that this is a series so that I can continue to follow the characters and learn more about them! ( )

"I received a copy of this book from eBook Discovery in exchange for my honest review."

With that behind me…I have to say this was a riveting read. I picked it up in the dark (electricity cut lasting over an hour) and thought I would read a bit before sleeping. In the wee hours of the morning, after finishing the last page, I wished I had the next book in the series to keep on reading – who needs sleep – right?

Dani, on a break between Park Ranger jobs, is in a diner in Nevada when two rock stars come in for a meal. After chatting with her for a bit they offer her a ride to their next destination on tour and since it is where she is going she hops on the bus. Hank, Sean and Mike ride in bus #1 and usually take the scenic route away from the roadies and groupies. Through that first night of chat and card playing a connection occurs that sees Dani with them for most of the rest of their tour. Friendships are made and a romance is begun between two at first seemingly opposite types. However, both with romantic inclinations have insecurities to overcome before they can achieve their happily ever after.

Told in the first person, something hard to pull off well, this story was a delight with surprises and insights that made it a fun and very entertaining read. I liked all of the characters and look forward to reading more about their HEA’s in the future. ( )
