A book that can be used to help kids see that everyone is different and unique- just like animals have their own qualities and characteristics.

"Wild About Us!" by Karen Beaumont is a colorful rhyming book that shows readers what makes the animals in the zoo one-of-a-kind.

This book is a great resource for teaching students about writing with descriptive language, specifically adjectives and adverbs like "toothy grin" and "wrinkly skin". More importantly, it sends the message that we are all different in our own special way. ( )

I love rhyming books! I love rhyming books with animals!! And I love books that encourage kids to be just who they are--that they are special due to their differences. It is an important message.
