Grandma moves to Florida and the family comes to visit for the first time for Thanksgiving. Instead of baking pies she goes to tap class and instead of making Thanksgiving dinner for her family she takes them to some seafood restaurant full of seniors. The family seems to be OK with all these changes by the end, which I guess is a nice sentiment. But I'd be pissed if this happened to me. Plus the illustrations are awful. ( )

This is one of my favorite books. It is about a little girl who goes to visit her grandma for Thanksgiving, and realizes her grandma wasn't the same person she knew before. Her grandma isn't the same sweet old lady who used to live on the farm and have a very mellow and calm lifestyle. Her grandma now lives in Florida and is very active and vibrant. The book discusses the different changes that grandma has made since her move, and the new Thanksgiving dinner they have. I believe this book is a fun and interesting book to read to children during the Thanksgiving season. ( )

This book is a good example of a fantasy book because the animals within the story talk and animals cannot talk in real life. So this book has to be considered a fantasy book.

This book is a fantasy, because the characters are animals and they are speaking. To be used in a primary classroom. ( )
