A fun readalike for fans of Timmy Failure or the Wimpy Kid. The authors are fantastic and put on a great show, so if you can see them in person make sure you do! ( )

A great start to a new series about a duo of pranksters. Tons of laugh out loud moments (The principal character is such a classic bumbling idiot character and a perfectly hilarious adversary for the two pranksters), dynamic illustrations, razor sharp prose and dialogue and a connection to the rich history/mythos of pranking make this a winner. Humor, pranks, dastardly foes, and funny pictures; what more could you possibly want? I can think of many kids who will love this, and I will look forward to additional installments in the story.

Despite the likability, there's something about it that bugs me a bit. Perhaps it's the informal, conversations, tone. I wonder how it is on audiobook. I suspect it's good, although you'd miss out on the illustrations. Something about Miles' character doesn't sit right. I never quite understood why he didn't accept Niles' partnership sooner, nor did I understand why he changed his mind when he did.

Their final prank reminds me of one I've read about: release two sheep in building but label them #1 and #3. ( )
