Voted BEST BOOK SERIES by Supportive Business Moms, UK ***DESTINED TO LOVE is a BRONZE MEDAL WINNER in the Readers' Favorite Awards - Romance Sizzle Category*** DESTINED FOR LOVE is the fifth book in the Love in Bloom series (The Snow Sisters, The Braden, & The Remingtons), and the 2nd book in The Bradens. While Destined for Love can be read as a stand-alone novel, for even more reading enjoyment you may want to read the LOVE IN BLOOM series in series order. Love hot cowboys? Rex Braden is wealthy, hard working, and fiercely loyal. Sweat at his brow, he works the family ranch by day, then kicks back at night with part time lovers who require nothing more than his physical presence a few times each week. But that was before. Before Jade Johnson, the daughter of the man his father has been feuding with for over forty years, moves back into town. After ditching a horrific relationship--and her veterinary practice in the process--Jade Johnson returns to the safety of her small hometown and finally finds her footing. That is...until her horse is injured and Rex Braden comes to her rescue. The last thing she needs is a bull-headed, too-handsome-for-his-own-good Braden complicating her life. Despite the angry family history, sparks fly between Rex and Jade, and attitudes follow. Fifteen years of stifled, forbidden love stirs a surge of passion too strong for either to deny--and the rebel in each of them rears its powerful head. Loyalties are tested, and relationships are strained. Rex and Jade are about to find out if true love really can conquer all. Be sure to get PROMISE MY LOVE, Rex & Jade's wedding novella!… (more)

I am loving this series like you wouldn’t believe. In Destined For Love book 2 of The Bradens and Book 5 of Love In Bloom we have Rex, Treat’s younger brother who has never been in love, much like Treat. Family means everything to him as it does to the whole of this family so when he sees Jade Johnson, the girl he has liked for much of his life, back in town he cannot help himself no matter how hard he tries.
The problem both he and Jade have is that their fathers fell out years ago and it is not likely that it will resolve because of both men’s stubbornness, which puts Rex and Jade in a difficult position, they both love their family immensely but they love each other just that little bit more.

The book is written in both Rex and Jade’s points of view which I liked as it wasn’t one sided.
There are steamy scenes that people need to be aware of and it is recommended for ages 18 or over.
I loved it the chemistry between the pair was amazing. Sexy cowboys and romance that is written so well everything flows perfectly and leaves me craving for more. ( )

This was a nice romance. I enjoyed meeting the Braden family earlier in the previous book in this series so I was looking forward to Rex's story. There are some familiar characters in this book for fans of the series but this book would work well as a stand-alone as well. I had a really good time watching Jade and Rex fall for each other in this novel.

Rex takes care of the family ranch and doesn't spend a lot of time on relationships. Jade is just getting out of a bad relationship and has moved back home with her parents. Rex and Jade's families have been feuding for the past 40 years and there is no way that anyone would accept them as a couple. Unfortunately, these two can't seem to stay away from each other. I liked Rex and Jade as a couple. They had incredible chemistry with each other and seemed to have a deeper connection early in their relationship. I liked the way that they worked together to address the obstacles to their relationship.

B.J. Harrison did a good job with the narration of this book. I did have a little hiccup with some of the voices that he used at the start of the book but that was only an issue for a short time. I think that his narration added a lot of emotion to the story and added to my overall enjoyment of the story.

I would recommend this book to fans of contemporary romance. I found this to be a very nice romance with characters that I was invested in from the start. I cannot wait to read more of this wonderful series.

I received a copy of this audiobook from the author/publicist. ( )

Why is the forbidden always so tempting? Rex & Jade are on separate sides of a long running family feud. However, the chemistry & attraction between them is too strong to ignore. With their ranches sharing common borders, a small town, shared friends, and the land at the center of the feud right in the middle, Rex & Jade are being pulled from all directions.

I love the Braden family! At the beginning, I wasn’t sure I was going to like Rex since he came across as arrogant & a jerk. Once he began to open up to Jade, he came across as more sensitive & appealing. All of the Braden men seem to be strong, sexy Alpha men out to protect their families. Jade comes across as a very strong & appealing young woman who is confident of herself & where she is going. The interactions between their fathers illustrates the feud but also ends up showing their tremendous love for home & family. This was a great addition to the Braden family story. ( )

I started and finished this book last night. If something in my review seems off, it is me not the book. I usually read a book several weeks early so I can process and think about the book before writing a review. Sadly, life and cold weather has gotten to me this time.

After reading the blurb I had the feeling this book would be another Hatfield-McCoy families. They hate each other and the kids marry just try and end the feud. Yes, it is partly that but so much more.

To this reader Rex is every woman’s dream man, strong, loyal, protective, hard working and very sexy. He is currently only interested in his part-time relationships. Suddenly all his ideas change, he has a longing for something more.

Jade is feisty. At first I thought she was recovering from a broken heart, but the more I read I realized she is recovering from her pride being hurt. After being used pride hurts more than anything and slowly I think Jade realizes this.

This book has a lot more sass to it than some of the other books I have read by Melissa. A drawing sexual tension pulls readers in as the watch Rex and Jade discover their love.

Sometimes it seems like Rex and Jade are just too perfect. Felt like they were without fault. I wish the feud was explained more. The feud was covered just not deep enough for me.

Thanks for a fun read.

The bunnies and I give this book carrots.

I was introduced to Rex Braden in the previous book Lovers at Heart, Rex has helped his dad working on the family ranch since leaving school, he's loyal, honorable, strong, a family guy and obviously rather handsome. The problem is that the girl he is in love with, Jade, the very girl he has loved since school, is a 'Johnson' and is strictly off limits. The Johnson's and the Braden's are the centre of one massive family feud after both fathers fell out over a land dispute years ago, the very mention of each others name is prohibited. What makes matters even worse is that Jade is just as much in love with Rex as he is with her, but neither want to break their families hearts and cause more distress than there already is. Jade and Rex have years of pent up affection, lust and love for each other, will love win out or will their family loyalty win?

I enjoyed the whole horsey theme to this story, especially the close bond and affection all the Bradens have for their mothers horse Hope, their father had bought their mother the horse when she became ill before she passed away. Loosing their mother affected each of the Braden family deeply in different ways and there is such a connection to Hope.

The second half of the book strongly grabbed me and I read it in one day, I just couldn't put it down because I needed to know what was going to happen next, it was intense and emotional! The author easily pulls you into the story feeling that your part of it as it unfolds.

The story is not only hot and steamy but it's also heartwarming, emotional, and reinforces just how much family really matters. ( )
