A very sobering account of the state of affairs in Israel today. The author says, unless these trends are reversed, the future of that country is at stake,

-- Stop and reverse the building of settlements on occupied land
-- Do not encourage religious schools where an entire generation has been taught only the Torah like the madrasas and lack the skills needed for survival in the regular world
-- Stop discrimination and the treatment of Arabs as second class citizens
