I think the cultural stereotypes were more stupid than offensive, but still they were totally unnecessary. I would def. not share this with children.

I also did not like the docile sisters or mom's apron.

I did, however, like the nicknames that mom called the kitten. And I did feel a resonance with the exuberant & irrepressible imagination of Skippyjon. ( )

Holy Guacamole! I love how "Skippyjon Jones" has such a wild and loco imagination! It would be a lot of fun to have the kids do a craft before storytime and cut out their own cloth black masks. Then they can wear their masks not only for that storytime but whenever they want to go wild and loco with their imaginations just like Skippyjon Jones and "fear not a single bandito" while they "get the job done, yes indeed-o." ( )
