Retrieve Patron's checkouts after changing spelling

Hi! I saw that a Patron's name was misspelled. Changed it only in Patron name section & then all of their transactions (including current check outs) have disappeared. Is there a way to retrieve transactions? I tried changing spelling back to old way, but they are still lost. I also tried doing a report of all transactions. Patron's name is not there. Thank you!
