September 2023 Group Challenge

Anyone who knows me will know of my love for (obsession with) random generators of all sorts.
So I have no idea how I have not seen The TBR Machine before!

This month, use The TBR Machine to give you a prompt.

My generated prompt was 'a book that has won an award'. There will be lots to choose from for that prompt!

I've been using a lot of random number generating this year for picking books to read. I was not aware of the TBR Machine. I might have to start using this more often lol.

I got the prompt: book with a one-word tile

I've managed to read two that fit so far:
Cane by Jean Toomer, 4*
Cheese by Willem Elsschot, 3.5*

I think I will try for another prompt and see what I come up with. This was fun.

Mine came up with ‘a book by your favorite author’. How perfect, except that my favorite author, Antonia Forest, is only in the 1001 Children’s Books and I’ve read all her books multiple times.

So I thought I’d read my favorite author from my 1001 TBR shelf: David Markson, with Vanishing Point. Turns out that the copy I have was sent by the author to my father, so that is nice!
