The Covenant of Water by Abraham Verghese

For me, it started off slowly. Now, I can't put the book down. The setting is India. I think many responsibilities can cause early maturity.The novel is very descriptive. I can see the trees and flowers in my mind.

There is a story of an elephant named Damo. I have shortened the name. There is so much in the book. I'm reading the ebook. It's such a refreshing book to read. I hope Abraham Verghese gets an award for this one. This book is an Oprah book club choice. I guess it's a Family Saga.
