- About My Library
- Materials in my library are collected while researching my ancestral lines, which have European roots in Scandinavia, Ireland, the British Isles, and Croatia, with all of the lines extending back to the 1700s and about half of them to the 1600s. My American heritage begins in colonial New England during the 1600s, in the Mid-Atlantic colonies during the 1700s, and in the Midwest during the 1800s. My library holdings cover the cultural, social, political, and economical histories for the times and places listed above. Besides history, my studies include genealogy, cultural anthropology, DNA testing (genetic genealogy), psychology, religion, languages (12 scripted alphabets), writing (narrative nonfiction).
- About Me
- I'm retired after working at Bell Labs for 30 years as a computer programmer/software developer. I've been researching my family history since 2003 and while the hunt for historical information continues, I'm writing and sharing my research results with family members in a series of essays.
