About My Library
I love all stripes of young adult and middle grade fiction. Seriously, give me any YA or MG book and I’m a happy camper. (Well…except maybe a dystopian. Or a paranormal romance. Or any book where we’re supposed to find a controlling, emotionally unstable jerk romantic.)

I’m pickier when it comes to adult fiction; my preferred genres are speculative, SFF, mystery, horror, historical, and women’s fiction, but what I really enjoy are books that mash up several genres together. I am a sucker for any book that involves pretty, rich people doing terrible things.

I also enjoy narrative and journalistic nonfiction, particularly on scientific, historical and political topics. Histories of science and political parables are my jam.

Favorite authors: way too many to list, but I’ll give a special shout out to Neil Gaiman, V.E. Schwab, Libba Bray, Elizabeth Wein, Patrick Ness, Rainbow Rowell, Maggie Stiefvater, Lauren Oliver, Meg Wolitzer, Karen Russell, Sarah Waters, Megan Abbott, Jeff Vandermeer, Chuck Wendig, David Sedaris and Erik Larson.
About Me
You know that weird girl in first grade, the one who always read during recess and never went anywhere without a book (even the bathroom)? Well, she’s all grown up now.
