A royal house is set up to be vulnerable to attack.

2.5/4 (Okay).

I've had Enough of Dune in my life at this point, so I wasn't super excited about this movie. The production design won me over to it almost immediately. But then it eventually settles in to telling the story, and lost me again. They do a really good job of keeping things focused and clear, changing or omitting stuff that has no reason to be there. But it's still a boring story with no characters to care about.

T/FB: 2021 movie #178. 2021. I read "Dune" in my impressionable youth and am gratified that this movie adaptation is pretty good. You might not get it if you haven't read the book but it's easier to follow than the 1984 version. First of 2 parts.

One of the best SF-films ever. Unique first-contact approach
