Howard Schwartz explains that this lovely, beautifully illustrated story is from a midrash in MIdrash Tanhuma. All the secrets of the world are shared with a baby before birth, only to be forgotten when the angel Lailah puts her fingers to the baby's lips at birth and leaves an indentation above the lips.
