The subtitle says that these are the recipes of the wife of the late usurper. The book was intended to harm the reputation of Oliver Cromwell by portraying a lower class kitchen. It is published by the Cromwell Museum.

This series is just so interesting, Foyle is now working for the Intelligence Service and having to deal with politics as well as investigating things that have ramifications outside of the small sphere of Hastings. Everything from Corupt Nazi Businessmen and the companies that survived afterwards; Palestine and Israel comng into Conflict and the truth about some of the missions some people were sent on in France along with character developments and some very interesting interviews about the true history that informed the episodes.
The actors are great in their roles and the characters really made me feel for them. I'm sorry it's all over.

This series just keeps knocking it out of the park. Entertaining and engaging the characters never fail to keep me interested.
Foyle is now working with MI5 alongside Sam while her husband is running for election. These three episodes bring up post-war and cold war issues. Clever and entertaining.

At the beginning Foyle is still trying to retire, by the end he is no longer a police detective but he's still assisting in cases. Another trilogy of cases. The Russian House; Killing TIme and The Hide. Full of twists and turns and people being very people. There's racism; treachery and politics sprinkled liberally and the characters work hard to uncover the truth as best they can.

I really like the characters and how they're portrayed and look forward to more.
