Set in the near future, Dr. John Numen figures out a way to clone a human. Of course, this is against the law. Dr. Numen continues his research anyway. He has inherited his father's company and is very well off.

Eventually, he is caught and forced to hide out to continue his work. As time goes on his work gets darker.

The Apotheosis really made me think about the issues surrounding cloning and where the line is or should be drawn. Definitely worth a read!
