YMMV. I'll admit to remembering this through nostalgia goggles. B-movie schlock fantasy somewhat below Conan level, but the art is charming.

This is the traditional Gingerbread Man folk tale with a gentle conclusion. An eagle saves the gingerbread boy from the fox. Although the eagle probably eats the gingerbread boy, the text doesn't specify about that. So, Littles are not forced to deal with the untimely death of the hero.

This cute picture book uses adorable animal drawings to give young children a simple idea of how a variety of things are built (house, bridges, planes, furniture, rockets and more).

Fun story from my collection about a little old lady and many that bake up a sweet smelling gingerbread boy. When she opens the oven door he takes off running and doesn't stop until an eagle grabs him out of the clutches of the fox. I will definetly use this story to retell to my fourth graders while teaching sequence of events.
