I read this charmingly illustrated tale with my 5-year-old neighbor. She declared, "I like it," which is a rare review from her! The illustrations are bright and colorful, and the story illustrates the virtue of unselfishness.

Note: I received an unbound galley of this book from the publisher at ALA Midwinter 2016.

A sweet little story with simple language suitable for small children and their non-fluent-in-Italian parents and nonni. All the animals go to sleep and we say good night; the moon, however, stays awake. I wish that we had two different titles from the Giulio Coniglio series instead of, mysteriously, two copies of this title.

This book is a nice book. I would read it to my nieces for a bedtime story.

On a rainy day, Julio Bunny is bored. He sees a friend reading a pirate book and thinks it looks interesting. The friend takes him to the library where a goat serves as the librarian. I can't help but wonder about a goat librarian. Wouldn't the goat eat all the paper? I'm not quite sure this book works although it does theoretically encourage reading. Other books do a better job addressing the topic.
