I can't imagine the ideal audience for this book. As an ardent fan of the Chronicles, I was looking for some entertaining insights into aspects I'd never noticed. Instead I got a collection of textbook-style, dry, philosophical essays. To say this book was tough to get into is an understatement! I'd rather read The Keys to the Chronicles: Unlocking the Symbols of C. S. Lewis's Narnia by Marvin D. Hinten.
