An excellent production starring Whoopi Goldberg as a musical star who has to go into hiding after witnessing a crime... and hides in a convent. Maggie Smith is a wonderful Mother Superior, and the film is a testament to good music, people who care for each other, and a fight against crime and mobs.

Set in the United States, with great timing, and some humour as well as a bit of violence (mostly off screen). Rated PG but unlikely to be of interest to children.

Witness protection puts a lounge singer in a convent.

2.5/4 (Okay).

Surprisingly painless.

The edition I read is large-format, thick picture book. Long basic quiet 'biography' of a cat - with lots of absolutely gorgeous full-page illustrations. (Charcoal?)

A rich girl falls for a dance instructor "from the streets."

I believe "hot mess" is the term. The only way I can make sense of this movie is that it's actually about time-travelers.
