In a dense forest in northern Wisconsin, sixteen-year-old Jesse Hayes searches for his father. The snowstorm is relentless. The footprints are fading. When his search is over, there are no smiles between them. There is no sigh of relief in Jesse's breath. His father is dead. Jesse returns home only to face another disturbing realization: hunting accident or not, Jimmy Hayes has tagged his older brother as a killer and vows to get even.
