Sleepy Little Mouse is very tired, but she doesn't want to take a nap. When she begins to cry, her mother kisses her and tucks in the covers, reads her a story and sings her a song. But Sleepy Little Mouse just cries and cries. She cries until her tears fill the room and she floats out the window and down to the sea. And there she plays with all the creatures until her mother comes to take her home -- for a lovely, and much-needed, nap. The striking three-dimensional illustrations will entice children to look more closely at Sleepy Little Mouse's tiny world as they listen to this perfect naptime story. Ages 2-5 AUTHOR: Eugenie graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York City in 1965. Her paintings from Earth Magic and One Hen: How One Small Loan Made a Big Difference are at the Smithsonian's National Museum of African Art. Kim Fernandes is an award-winning children's book author and illustrator. Her books include Sleepy Little Mouse and Busy Little Mouse. She lives in southern Ontario. Colour illustrations… (more)
