Love this awesome edition... it's the original, but in a larger trim size and with color illustrations. Perfect read-aloud! Ruby LOVED it! Rob and Ruby read it together, but I was lucky enough to sit in on many nights. ( )

Charlie is a boy whose family had been down. He found the golden wrapper that allowed him and his grandpa to visit the famous factory where unique candy and oompa loompas run around helping.

This book follows Charlie who gets to go on a tour of the famous Willy Wonka's chocolate factory after finding the magical golden ticket that is super sought after!
This book is a great lesson to kids as it teaches them that kids who are spoiled, mean and short tempered aren't nice and that they don't get the reward in the end.

Everyone should read this book. Then read it again. Then watch both film versions and read it again and compare and contrast all of them. Simply watching a movie is not an adequate replacement for reading the book (as is almost always the case). Roald Dahl has such a talent for creating realistic characters in fully fantastic stories. More authors should be like Roald Dahl. ( )
