Library Notes | Advertisement text: "Philadelphia, October 14th, 1772. TO BE SOLD BY PUBLIC VENDUE. At the late dwelling-house of the Rev. CHARLES BEATTY, deceased, on the 10th day of NOVEMBER next, part of his estate, both real and personal; that is to say THE Plantation on which he formerly lived, situate in Warminster Township, Bucks-County, containing upwards of One Hundred and Fifty-two Acres: Whereon is a good stone-house, log-kitchen, barn, stables, spring-house, waggon house, fields, orchards, meadows, and woodland in proper proportion; the whole is well watered, and in good repair. Also another plantation, situate at the Cross-Roads, on Old York road, so called, with a large two story stone house, four rooms on a floor, and very convenient for any public business, with a stone kitchen adjoining the same, a young orchard, log-barn, barracks, and other conveniencies which need not be particularly mentioned; there are a few Acres of wood land on the place, and some meadow may easily be made. At the same time and place will be sold, horses, cows, a waggon, cart, and other implements of husbandry; a large variety of houshold goods, among which are a musical clock, and a curious and elegant collection of cuts, maps, and pictures; also a large and valuable collection of books on various subjects, but more particularly divinity. When the conditions of sale will be made known, and attendance given by JOHN BEATTY HENRY WYNKOOP, SAMUEL ERWIN. Executors. All persons who have any demands against the estate, are desired to bring in their accounts, that they may be adjusted; and those who are indebted, to make speedy payment." |
